Butchulla People - Traditional Owners of World Heritage-listed Fraser Island and the Adjacent Mainland

ARCHAEO has worked in close cooperation with the Butchulla people (the Traditional Owners of World Heritage-listed Fraser Island and the adjacent mainland) on a large number of projects since 2005.

Customs House Museum

Converge developed and installed an exhibit illustrating recent archaeological excavations on the Original Maryborough Town Site undertaken by Converge.

Lake Street Heritage Trail

Converge developed content for an inner city heritage trail as part of a major Cairns CBD renewal. The brief included natural and cultural heritage interpretation, as well as a masterplan for a CBD heritage interpretation strategy. The masterplan included a review of existing assets and recommendations for online, digital and site specific interpretation.

Interpretive Strategy for Malanda Falls Visitor Information Centre

Converge developed an interpretive strategy and text and imagery for the Wet Tropics Visitor Centre at Malanda Falls. The brief required a focus on the Wet Tropics natural values and the Indigenous values of the Ngadjon people, the Traditional Owners of the area.
